Which are the best and most original music videos?

I rate Fatty Boom Boom by Die Antwoord pretty high:

Two that, to my mind, set the standard for years to come.

Sledgehammer by Peter Gabriel (with help from Aardman Animations.

And, for very different reasons, Paul McCartneys's Pipes of peace.

I've always had a soft spot for Michel Gondry's clever-clever single-take videos. Possibly a result of a youth spent watching weird shit on Channel 4's late-night music strand.

Massive Attack - Protection:

Lucas - Lucas With the Lid Off (not super into the tune but the video is impressive):

Cibo Matto - Sugar Water (clever palindrome tricks):

Tool - Sober and Stinkfist spring to mind, but all their vids are pretty freaky.

Aphex Twin - Come to Daddy, and any other Chris Cunningham video

Danzig - Can't Speak

If you were involved you'll know why.

I had to watch it a few times before I recognised a few actors and cameos then realised it wasn't original footage. attention to details is incredible.

His “Let Forever Be” for Chemical Brothers is an absolute pinnacle, I think it stands as a piece of great abstract art in itself, transcending mere “snazzy pop video”

Not wholly original and perhaps its attraction is a little obvious, but Puretone’s “Addicted to Bass” (I think that is the title) has strangely stood the test of time

Preferred the old happy hardcore stuff like Everybody In The Place. Found The Prodigy to be too formulaic when they became "dark".

To the OP - Seriously good video!
