Mimi's death from ovarian cancer, at the age of 55 was announced today. Such a terrible loss, obviously to her family, but also to the world of music. I only discovered the music she made with her husband Alan Sparhawk, 7/8 years ago but the albums quickly became some of my favourite ever. They made an emotional connection with me and recently helped me through some tough times. Very sad news.
