Does anyone remember a film called 'Death of a Mountain Guide' or 'La mort d'un guide' .Something like that. It was on telly a very long time ago. I remember it had an interesting plot about revenge and redemption. So different to the later Hollywood climbing films.

Mort d'un Guide. A superb movie. I saw it with Ken Wilson at Trento in c.1975, where I think it deservedly won the Grand Prix.

I'd love to see it again. Did Ken like it?

French TV shows it from time to time, well worth searching out if you haven't seen it. Here's a short extract, unfortunately not of the climbing scenes

(hope this works from outside France)

Yes, we were both bowled over by it.
