Thanks to a recommendation on here (sorry, I can't remember who) I have really got into Emancipator in the last year.

Has anyone else got any recommendations of a similar ilk? i.e. Chilled electronic music, mixed with orchestral instruments (whether they be real or synthesized).

In reply to Hugh Janus:

- Obligatory: Boards of Canada
- Digitonal (later stuff definitely better)
- Floex (Zorya has some good tracks, I've never actually heard them all - but noticed album is up on YT now)
- Kodomo (first 2 albums are awesome)
- The Flashbulb
- Ochre

Tycho (try the track “Dive”)

or, maybe Ambeam for some chillout Psybient EDM (try the track “The Time).

In reply to Hugh Janus:

These 2 might be slightly different...

Try Yoste, young guy from Brisbine, still quite small and starting out but some of his tracks you might like. Link below.

Another good one I found, Yeo Mase, his album "Life in Boxes" is free on YouTube and brilliant. Link below.

Assuming you know about Bonobo, but if not, check that out. Also Portico Quartet, Tycho

In reply to Hugh Janus:

Thanks folks.

I know Tycho and Boards of Canada (Is Jordan Peterson on that ).

I will check out all the recommendations, but please keep them coming.

In reply to Nibs:

Just checked out Helios (Yume) on YouTube and it's fantastic stuff. Cheers.

You guys probably know these, but whilst checking stuff out on YT I came across Carbon Life Forms and Goldmund.

Would second the recommendation for Digitonal

Also, The Ghost of 3.13

In reply to mik82:

Will do. Unfortunately I have problems with your link, probably due to the issues in my "UKC Site on iMac" thread.

But many thanks, I'll try good ol' YouTube.

Listening to Digitonal at the moment. Awesome! Exactly what I was looking for.
