Quite a few listed so far are ones that I somehow found just a bit too much on the smarmy side (I realise that this is a bit like saying some cars are bit too much on the "4 tyres and a steering wheel side") but for me the favourites are mostly pre-Casanova (well to be honest apart from some singles like National Express, I drifted away post-Casanova)
I'll go with Tonight We Fly and Don't Look Down
If you are in a certain mood, Tonight We Fly is actually incredibly moving and multi-layered. I remember 22 years when I read about the suicide of Chris Acland from Lush, I listened to an acoustic version of Tonight We Fly on repeat for a while.
From Casanova I really liked The Dogs and the Horses.
Also, I got to enjoy Songs of Love without knowing that it was the Father Ted theme music, as I hadn't seen Father Ted at the time (and I had an advance copy of the album )
