I just want to inform climbers of the seasonal bird restrictions for Malham Cove.
This year,the birds are nesting on the left of the cove looking in, at the 'letterbox'
- and not on the right as per last year. The restriction applies to Caveat Wall on the Left Wing, from 'Hangover' to 'Man and the Myth' inclusive.
There will be signing around the cove, but as it is a sensitive area, it is worth checking the BMC RAD database for changes before travelling to climb here.
This will be on-going from now until about the 30th of June. Once again, any changes will be posted.
It is a busy site with many people coming to watch the birds over the next few months. It is a very important site as it is one of the few successful sites in the Dales - if not the only one.
