Loose bolts/staples, Stoney West

I’m at Stoney West today and noticed some staples that have some movement in them. They are the P shaped staples where both ends are cemented into the hole. They move slightly and the surface cement isnt fully attached to the rock. I may be worrying about nothing but I wouldn’t want to fall on them. Would be worth someone with knowledge of these things checking it out. Routes were deconstruction first staple and a couple on Shake Rattle and Roll.

You can't get 'P' shaped staples only 'U' shaped ones. The bolts at Stony West are twisted leg 'P' shaped bolts that can often look like a staple when recessed. Could be a poor glue mix or an improperly cleaned hole.

Thanks for flagging this up. I'll add it to the to do list at the Peak bolt fund. Can't guarantee it will get looked at any time soon as there aren't that many capable volunteers.
