Ravens on Raven Crag (Walthwaite) Langdale!
I have started a new thread for updates to, hopefully, maximise visibility. A couple of restricted sites have been checked in the last few days.
Ravens are definitely nesting on Raven Crag Walthwaite so the full crag restriction is in place.
However a site check on Lower Falcon Crag Crag in Borrowdale showed that no Ravens are present so the restriction on this crag has been updated (not completely removed). There is still a strong possibility that Peregrine Falcons will once again nest on the steep (and grotty) north facing wall at the left end of the crag. Until we know for certain whether or not they are present the restriction on the wall left of Spinup remains in place. Also please avoid descending the grassy slopes on the North (left) end of the crag. We will check this site again as the birds may nest on the upper crag in which case the restriction will be lifted.
