Kyloe-in-the-woods (Kyloe-In)

Please be aware that felling is taking place at Kyloe this week (the first woods on the left as you go through the first gate) and that, due to the lockdown, the forestry workers won't be expecting visitors to the crag. This shouldn't effect the actual crag.

Later in the year the trees above the crag are also due to be felled. This will require the temporary closure of the crag, but should hopefully improve drying times of the rocks once complete. More on this to follow.

Cheers for that.

It'll be a shame to lose the trees. I always liked the way the crag emerged from the wood. It had a bit of a Hobbitty feel about it.

I do agree. I never like any mature trees to be chopped, but then it is a managed woodland.. It should just be the trees above the crag like, so your aesthetic should be mostly preserved.
