Hi,

I am wondeting if anybody has been to Kinder Scout or Shining Clough recently and could advise me about the conditions? I am really wanting to go up there soon but not sure how the rock is.

Green as they ever are, but it's the embedded stuff that doesn't really make any difference. So long as it's not rained in the 12hrs prior, I'd think all but the worst would be climbable.

We had a Rucksack Club evening meet on Shining Clough a couple of weeks ago - the "classics" were in pretty good condition eg East Rib, Phoenix Climb, Pisa Super Direct and Galileo  We did a few others which would have benefitted from a brush!
