House Martins nesting at Malham

Malham Catwalk.
Please be aware that House Martins are nesting on a number of Malham 'cat Walk' sport routes this Spring. Given that the nests are in unavoidable locations, the following routes should be avoided until nests are no longer in use (usually into August). Raindogs/Rainshadow, Overnite Sensation, Thriller/Victor Hugo and Zoolook.

Interesting - the nests are protected from the minute they start building them until they stop using them (generally October to be safe) with a fine of up to £5,000 and/or a prison sentence of up to 6 months for those caught destroying them.
