Do not take the shortcut to Bosi from the Count House!
There was a sign warning of tick activity on this path at the hut but we took it anyway with a cautious approach. As soon as we rejoined the main path we did a check and found many, many ticks all over our legs and shoes.
For the rest of our time there, we walked up to the old mine buildings and took the big main path without any further issues.
On the path from the hut you can't avoid coming into contact with the bracken and it goes through a shady area where they seem to be lurking.
