 Team BMC 25 Jan 2023

Come to our next gathering of Peak District climbers and walkers, and get involved in the BMC.

Date: Friday 3 February 2023, starting at 7.30pm
Venue: Bamford Village Institute, and online on Zoom

Area meetings are run by volunteers and provide an opportunity for you to discuss issues and influence decisions affecting climbers and walkers locally and nationally. All are welcome.

Join us for a pre-meeting social meet at the nearby Angler’s Rest pub from 6.30pm; chips served in the village hall at 7.15pm.

Sport, trad and competition climber Jim Pope will provide the post-meeting entertainment.

See the BMC Local Areas site for more info: https://community.thebmc.co.uk/Event.aspx?id=4454

In reply to Team BMC:

Just a reminder that it is this Friday.

Just to emphasise the above: Come for a drink before-hand from 6.30pm (would be great to see as many of you as can make it!), chip butties at 7.15pm in the hall and shortly after that we'll start the actual meeting. Afterwards, Jim Pope is giving us a talk which, given all of the hard bouldering, competitions, and trad that he has done in the last few years, should be an entertaining evening.

In reply to Andy Reeve:

I will be there, but it will be good to get back to mid-week meetings in a decent pub. I am sure the subs increases mean that it is financially possible!

In reply to johncook:

Subs were increased deliberately below CPI inflation, to help membership affordability.

We will be there for the earlier chat in the pub and for the meeting and Jim's talk.
