Firstly. Thanks to whoever has put a big effort in to improving the path under several sections of Ban y Gor.
We met a very friendly and supportive Nature Reserve Warden there yesterday. He was pleased to see us using the crag but mentioned a couple of things.
1. Someone has had a fire under the crag in the Mandella area.
2. They would have appreciated being contacted before the path work was done, just in case they were aware of rare species that may have been affected.
3. Someone is using an area to the left of the crag entrance path as a toilet. Unfortunately it's right next one of their dormouse monitoring points.
I have no idea if the fire and waste are due to climbers, it was just a reminder to folks to be considerate of the nature reserve.
Its a great crag, now better due to the path improvement, and we don't want to risk affecting the good relationship that climbers have with the landowners
