Currently staying near the Berwyns .... noticed an odd museum on a nearby mountain track on Google Earth which linked to this, which might be of interest to some here.

In reply to Offwidth:As a keen cyclist in the sixties I rode (pushed ) my bike over the pass in the Berwyn Massif. I seem to remember a Memorial plaque to "Wayfarer", a well-known cycle tourist and writer of the time, at the top. I was with my cycle club. Since we'd ridden from Stafford on the sunday run it must have been a long day (as they all were). We also once walked our cat Toby up off that

track, to the top on the Berwyns - the mist came down and Toby tried to follow some scouts going downwards, so I put him in my sac and he didn't wake up for 36 hours. We didn't take him again!

Sorry that was the wrong link...(no idea how that happened as I thought I'd checked it). It is indeed  a memorial stone, not a museum as the Google Earth label implies.
