Good race this year, some great scenery as well. Anybody know what the dolomite like ridge featured near the end of Friday's stage to Manresa was? Looked to be plenty of rock in the area , is it an established climbing area?

Not able to see it unfortunately,  but I think Friday went by Montserrat on which there most certainly is climbing!

I dont know but did hear the 'great' Carlton Kirby state that it was an area of 'free climbing'

I heard him compare it to Stanage Edge. He has previously gabbled on about once nearly falling over the edge at Stanage in the fog.

Yes, that seems to fit the bill.

Near Manresa, that'll be Montserrat. Yes it's a well established climbing (and walking) area.

That will be Montserrat, its conglomerate with about 5000 routes, from easy Single pitch Sport through all kinds of Trad to Big Wall Climbing on the Northern Walls.
Also loads of trails through the park that look good for easy off road biking and maybe there is gnarly MTBing as well.
The Abbey there is also the starting point of the Dan Brown Novel, Origin.
