Thanks for the suggestions. I'll give the 0.5l flask in an old water bottle a try (I've got both available anyway) before splashing out on something else.
I just use a flask that fits slightly loosely and wedge a bit of karrimat in there and clamp into cage with velcro strap or old rucksac pocker holder strap.
It's not a full flask I suppose, but I bought one of these about a year ago to take a coffee on rides during lockdown. Its size means it fits well in a cage and the rubbery sleeve on it means it grips well and doesn't rattle. Keeps my coffee warm for a good few hours on cold days.
Hi I use a LifeAdventure Flip top Thermal Mug (300ml) with some old inner tube sleeve (27.5 x 2.5) that works well and keeps you brew warm for 5 hours. Also small enough to fit in your back pack.
