Should be starting in 10 days but can't find a thing on it - Does anyone know if it's happening?

Thanks

I think that's quite an old page but I did find their official website on there:

https://www.strade-bianche.it/en/

So it looks like it's going ahead....fingers crossed.

Definitely on, think everyone in cycling world is very excited about return of world tour racing, and looks to be a lot of big names competing.

More details on teams signed up can be found in here.

Who's your money on?

I can't see Alaphilppe but if he is riding my money's on him, assuming he's not been eating doughnuts through lockdown.

It's got to be one of the hardest years to predict race results ever! While the pros have been training a bit more normally the last few months, a couple of months of complete change in March/April will have really affected people's preparations, and then the change in calendar will have too. I can't wait.

Yes. It is going ahead. Incidentally,  the Liege Bastogne Liege pro race is scheduled for the 4th October.  I had signed up for the Sportive which was originally planned for 24th April. If it goes ahead it will be 3rd October but I'm almost certain all the European sportives will be cancelled which is a pity. Roll on 2021!!

Looks like Tdf, Giro & Vuelta are doing the full 3 weeks of stages  fingers crossed for ITV4 coverage.

Temperatures will be cooler, will that make a difference?

If what we saw today at SB I’d be very surprised if we make it through much more of this season

What makes you say that?

Sounds like it was a great race.

Given that chalk neutralise’s Covid surely the pro’s who rode today will be immune for the rest of the season.

No doubt it was a great race, It was great to see it back.

Considering the problems other sports have reported whilst operating in far more controlled circumstances, the shouting unmasked crowds and apparent relaxed attitudes to face coverings and personal space at the finish appear to point to trouble ahead.

i hope I’m proved wrong.

Watching the Tour of Burgos? in the Basque Country every one at the road side was wearing a mask even folk who had ridden up.

Crowds looked pretty sparse to me and it was all outdoors. All the personnel in cars could be more worrying.
