Knobbly winter tyres

I've just had to retire a set of Panaracer Trailraker's (26x1.95), I found them very good for the usual Pennine winter gloop. Unfortunately they don't make them anymore and it seems 26 inch rims are also old hat so I've been struggling to find a replacement.

Does anybody have any recommendations for anything similar?

Many thanks

Mike

Have a look at Maxxis Shorty.

Wouldn't now be my winter choice at 650b/29, but you are limited at 26  nowadays.

I’ve used Continental Verticals for a variety of terrain from the mud and roots  of Drumlanrig to the rough rocks at Dalbeattie.

They’ve lasted well, are cheap and perform as well as anything else I’ve tried.

Continental trail king in 2.2s.... they do a less aggressive mountain king too. Frame width might be tight though.

I’ve found the Michelin wildgripper mud tyres very good. Cheap too.
