After finally admitting I am a fair weather cyclist I purchased a turbo trainer to keep up my fitness during the winter.

Any suggestions for a heart rate monitor that'll play nicely with an Elite Direto XR and Zwift? Just to make life complicated it needs to be a wrist based one as the chest strap designs don't work well on me (wonky rib cage).

I hate chest straps so only ever use one on the turbo, i use a Wahoo Tickr chest strap with Zwift to Laptop, they do an arm version one too that's Bluetooth and ANT+

You should note that the arm ones are nowhere near as accurate as the chest straps and give some strange readings sometimes

Cheers that should do the job nicely.

Dc rainmaker reviews them. The polar oh1 and scosche are alternatives to the wahoo listed above.

He concluded that the polar is best, followed by the scosche with wahoo in third place in terms of accuracy.

I have got the Wahoo wrist sensor and a Garmin chest strap. I did some comparisons when I first got the Wahoo and found differences in readings were so minor they weren't worth bothering about.
