Trek marlin and Roscoe seem to be popular on eBay. Can't see much difference. Roscoe has a dropper seat and 12 gears. Marlin no dropper and 10 gears???
I assume can't go far wrong with one of these....just want to try it out without breaking bank and have something can knock about for a shortish commute.
In reply to im off: The Roscoe is a bit better frame and the geometry is a bit better suited for mucking about on steeper trails. Both decent bikes, and for the commute the Marlin is just fine
If the former, then maybe go for a hybrid, like the FX series? No front suspenstion, but a more road-oriented set of gears and tyres - seem to be a bit cheaper, too.
