Without wAnting to rehash old topics and trying my best to be brief :  I want to put some air forks on my sons isla bike beinn 24 . (Please please please ....I know there are lots of people against this idea but only continue reading if you read that second sentence and agree / have usefull advice , if you think it's a one way ticket to hell and damnation please start Another thread or move on to berate somebody about peak/peaks , e1/eo etc etc. ) . I put some cheap suntours off a Raleigh on the bike knowing they wouldn't do much but thought that having forks that looked like forks would be enough  . " dad ...my forks don't work and my wrists are sore" . anyway a few weeks ago we saw a kid at whinlatter on an early rider trail 24 with a proper Gucci set of air forks on it . One would have thought it would be easy to find out what they were and buy said forks. Not so. When I look on my iPad the early rider website does odd things .. I think they are rst first air  but Im Not really sure . So , apologies for initial rant : where can I get a set of 24inch Air forks ? I have tried the mtb forums but. Have not really got anywhere .

Article about this, albeit from a few years ago https://mtbmumblings.wordpress.com/2014/06/07/kids-suspension-forks/

Mentions RST first air and other options.

Tredz and bike discount.de both do 24" forks.

RST F1RST Air forks are a great 'starter for 10' for 24 inch wheels.  We had them on our first Islabike Creig - worked really well.  Looks like they're currently out of stock here;

Also, not cheap at about £150...

I think the F1RST is the only one easily available at the moment. Spinner Grind Air always looked good by not sure you can get them anywhere. At lot of people use a short travel 26" fork, and you might be able to get something good off ebay. They're often not that much longer than a 24" fork - so worth comparing axle-to-crown measurements to see how things match up.

Some of the recent kids bikes I've seen use a 26" fork with a 24" wheel

If you want a set of really trick junior forks then there is the Manitou Machete J unit (https://www.chainreactioncycles.com/manitou-machete-j-unit-forks/rp-prod188...). 100/120mm travel and 20" or 24" wheel sizes, bolt through axle with boost spacing.

Commencal also have a similar fork available however it only has 80mm travel (https://www.commencal-store.co.uk/fork-cargo-dj-air-rc-24-c2x20935726).

Amazing fork for little rippers however probably over gunned for putting on an isla bike beinn...

A Beinn frame (24 & 26 wheeled) can be used to make an awesome 'proper' mountain bike hard-tail for kids when they have a decent fork on the front (plus some other upgrades).
