From humble beginnings in the basement of the Lowe family home in Ogden, Utah, Greg Lowe created a backpack that pioneered load carrying technology. The Expedition Pack became a blueprint for all technical packs that followed, cementing Lowe Alpine’s international reputation for innovative, high-quality backpacking products.

50 years later, as Lowe Alpine celebrate their golden anniversary, the brand are again ready to turn convention on its head. The all-new Ascent Range is a series of climbing and mountaineering specific packs designed for all climbing activities. From elite fast and light alpinism to traditional cragging in the UK, there is a pack in the range to suit every need. 

The Ascent Range

Packs in the range include: The Metanoia, Mountain Ascent, Alpine Ascent and Peak Ascent. All are light, simple and functional and combine innovative new materials with refined designs. A dual-fabric design features throughout the Ascent Range, combining a tough TPU coated fabric for high abrasion areas, with a lighter but strong plain weave for areas with less exposure - ensuring durability whilst keeping the overall weight low.
