Outside Ltd is one of the UK’s premier outdoor specialist retailers and our online presence has been going from strength to strength for ten years. We’re committed to offering the same high quality service to our online customers that they receive in our Hathersage store; through product reviews, detailed, accurate information and faultless customer service. To help us deliver this, we’re looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our Web Sales department in the position of Customer Service Administrator.

About the role
As part of the Web Sales Department you will be responsible for the efficient day to day processing of all website orders, returns and enquiries. We are looking for someone who can maintain our exceptional reputation for customer service and to be the first point of contact for email, telephone and instant messaging enquiries. You will need to liaise on a daily basis with shop and head office staff and also our suppliers. The right candidate will ideally be a keen outdoor enthusiast and have some experience in the outdoor industry, however this is not essential.

Knowledge
ESSENTIAL
• Excellent verbal communication
• Excellent standards of literacy and numeracy
• Awareness of the importance of high standards of customer care

• Understanding of trends and developments in outdoor clothing, footwear and equipment
• Awareness of Health and Safety principles in the workplace

Experience
ESSENTIAL
• Experience of providing an exceptional level of customer service

• Experience working in a Customer Service position
• Experience working in a post room or office environment

Skills

• A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Outlook
• Ability to manage competing demands whilst maintaining a calm and professional service
• Ability to maintain attention to detail and accuracy when recording information
• Ability to work in an efficient and well-organised manner
• Great communications skills

Qualifications
• There are no essential qualifications required of the post-holder, however work-related and outdoor leadership certifications would be considered an advantage
