"A bright lad who was good at maths and things....." Rab Carrington, BMC President, alpinist and 8a sport climber, explains the history of RAB including an answer to the question: Why do I Climb?

The wait is over! The brand new range of Rab sleeping bags have hit the shops.

The design and manufacture of sleeping bags is where brand founder Rab Carrington started, and now at Rab they continue to innovate and improve on the knowledge he provided. Working closely with researchers at Leeds University they've had their 'eureka moment'.

After lots of hard work and by adopting a scientific approach they have uncovered the golden equation when it comes to perfect sleeping bag construction. Rab have designed and developed a groundbreaking range of bags by taking into account, chamber size, differential cut, lofting ability and reams of technical data.

The design and construction of a sleeping bag is as important as the down filling itself. The new range far exceeds industry standards by utilising only the finest construction techniques to promote maximum lofting of the down.
