Plas y Brenin launch new real ale!

PYB is about to launch its fourth real ale.

PYB Lush Summer

At Plas y Brenin, the National Mountain Centre, we take great pride in the high standard of everything we provide. Our courses, instructors, coaches, equipment, accommodation, facilities, food and customer service are all first class. With over one hundred and twenty comfortable beds in our hotel-standard centre and almost every one in use every single day of the year, our bar is a very lively place. Which is why we apply the same high standards to the drinks we serve.

Not content to dish up the usual soulless brews, we set our sights a little higher.

Lush Summer Pump

With the help of local brewers 'Bragdy Nant Brewery' and wine importers 'Blas ar win', we've developed a range of local real ales and wines designed to compliment the warm glow experienced after a long day in the outdoors. But these are not ordinary beers. Each one has an epic tale all of its own and each 'true' story is carefully documented in the dust-covered archives, which you can read on our website.

Remember, even if you are not on a course or holiday at the National Mountain Centre you are welcome to pop in for a drink and a chat. You'll find there are always adventurers with a tall tale to tell at the National Mountain Centre.

ALL NEW 'Lush Summer' real ale

This light refreshing real ale flavoured with long-sucked limes goes on sale at the end of March, and was brewed to commemorate the further adventures of luckless, legendary steel-willed Welsh adventurers Leftguard Fletcher and Dimples Amberfield.

Since we started selling 'real' ales at Plas y Brenin sales of lager and Guinness have dropped to almost zero! It seems outdoor enthusiasts just prefer the real thing. The Brenin range of locally brewed beer is on sale at pubs around the country now too so look out for it at a pub near you.

Lush Summer will be on sale at the UKClimbing Alpine Festival 2010 at PYB, along with the other Brenin Beers.
