The Joe Brown Shops (www.joe-brown.com) were opened by Val & Joe Brown back in 1966 and have always been a corner stone of speciality independent outdoor retailing.

In 2005 a small group of friends bought the business and have continued to run it in the spirit that it was established, as true specialist, climbing, mountaineering and walking shops.

We pride ourselves on offering a personal service with open and honest advice and yet are not elitist in any way, we welcome all from the hardest new router, the most experienced mountaineer or the complete novice.

We believe in investing in the future and have just launched our new web site which is cleaner, faster and easier to use. However we are also investing in the shops themselves and we have recently completed renovations to both shops, the most notable being in Llanberis.MORE PHOTOS BELOW

Taking down main walls in old buildings can be interesting as well as quite worrying, but we feel the results were well worth it. The new Llanberis shop is far more open and inviting and makes browsing and finding what you want much easier.

All work is now complete and just in time for the new spring ranges that have been arriving daily in time for the new season.

We look forward to welcoming you when your next in North Wales.

All the staff at Joe Browns.
