Join the BMC Access Team!

We are recruiting for a Access & Conservation Officer for Wales. The person for this role would be a high calibre individual who would represent the interests of our members on site-based and regional access, conservation and environmental issues in Wales.

The role has an all-Wales remit and will involve a mix of site-based access negotiation, land management and landscape protection work, partnership working across the outdoor sector and externally, and the promotion of environmental good practice amongst countryside users; supporting BMC volunteer initiatives (e.g. species conservation and site restoration work) will also be a key aspect of the role.

Candidates from a wide range of professional and personal backgrounds will be considered with the key requirements being exceptional interpersonal skills, the ability to communicate effectively in both English and Welsh and substantial knowledge and experience of climbing and hill walking in Wales.

The closing date for applications is 9am on Monday 21 February 2022.

Interviews will be held on Thursday 03 March 2022 in North Wales.
