SALEWA Litetrek Tent Gear News

Salewa's Litetrek tents are tough, three-season mountain models designed by people with the Dolomites in their backyard. So wind stability, protection against severe weather, wind stability, light weight, compact pack size and wind stability were key objectives. It gets windy up there…

Both the Litetrek II and III versions use a robust, reliable, semi-geodesic double wall construction with a tear-resistant 50-denier ripstop polyester PU-coated flysheet. As part of the design process, the tents have been wind-tunnel tested for stability at 90 km/h at the University of Munich, so yes they're good in a gale.

The 66-denier polyester inner tent has a mesh and mosquito net entrance, while the floor is made of robust PU-coated 70-denier ripstop nylon. Ventilation is regulated via a rear zipped panel, allowing you to adjust the fresh air supply and prevent humidity. Plus you can combine the fly and inner via the Speed Set Up Solution to pitch fast and effectively; useful when it's raining and you just want to get that tent up quickly.

There's a weatherproof vestibule for gear storage and cooking, integrated into the inner tent, which can be extended as required.
