As the name suggests, the Velez Evolution is the next stage of development from Paramo's classic Velez Smock, which now has something of a cult status. Ventilation is the key feature, with the front panel being completely removable. The double zips allow customisation of the amount of air coming through, with a full set of features including a kangaroo and tunnel pocket, further ventilation on the arms. The collar goes particularly high in order to provide protection in the worst of winter weather too!
An updated version of the classic shell pants in gore pro... ar stands for all round, be that ski touring, mountaineering or winter climbing. The face fabric is a very burly n100px with a smooth yarn that resists water uptake. These very tough pants feature Detachable braces and calf straps. As you'd hope from Arcteryx these boast Superb build quality and attention to detail, with nice touches such as a laminated protective layer on the inside of the lower leg to guard against wear from boots. The ultimate winter and alpine shell trousers ?
An old favourite rebuilt from the ground up to question every component. Two jackets in the range, the microlight alpine and microlight summit. The alpine is a longer cut and more technical insulated jacket with a New approach to baffle construction using Pertex infinity weave... a very unusual construction that isn't stitched or glued...it's witchcraft....filled with 750 fill power ethically sourced hydrophobic down. Light, warm and innovative...a major upgrade to an already nice jacket series. Alpine: 470g / Summit: 455g
New addition to the range and a replacement for the classic Latok alpine. The eVent DV Alpine has a 20 denier jersey backer, that leads to a soft and luxurious feel. On a more functional note, its smooth finish and lack of stitching means that it sheds snow well and is highly resistant to snagging. The pants add further durability due to the high wear patches around the inside leg and outside waist to help reduce crampon and ice axe scratching. Really nicely cut and with well thought out details... and we love that both pants and jacket come on men's and women's fit
Marmot have developed a new waterproof breathable fabric that reduces the environmental impact of the manufacturing process. Dye and Dwr are built into the yarn rather than applied on top after. It doesn't ever wash off. This reduces waste and radically reduces the need to reproof garments over their lifespan. Performance is not compromised, with a decent 20,000mm hydrostatic head and 20,000 mvtr
"Update in Marmot's featherless range with a full selection of models from hybrid and lightweight techy jackets to full weight down duvet substitutes. Featherless insulation is now 75% recycled, and of course, now geese or ducks have been upset in its manufacture. The new mountain oriented jacket is the Avant which features woven baffles for durability, and a techy cut"
A highly elastic hard shell jacket developed with Mammut athletes. Special underarm construction of the Mammut High Reach Technology provides extreme movement. 3 layer GORE-TEX material and highly bi-elastic GORE-TEX STRETCH material accommodates every movement.
Superlight alpine jacket with a pile like inner and an air permeable stretch outer. A Highly breathable, moisture-wicking active layer that's light enough for year round use and trim enough to layer under a shell for Scottish winter
First ski glove to use Boa technology to secure and release the glove. Extra tight fitting, with a thumb loop for attaching to the pole and a leash for secure removal in use.
A specific heli-skiing glove designed for the extra cold temperatures. Super warm filling with extra primal loft and additional pocket on the back to take heat pads.
A men's and women's down mid layer which is extremely breathable. The insulation is made from sheets of down which means it can be made without a down-proof outer material. This makes it extremely light and breathable compared to other down jackets.
Used by Leo Houlding in his successful Spectre expedition. A very tough face fabric reinforced with Pertex, making it the top of the range Berghaus down jacket. It also features sewn in silver mesh which reflects heat back to the body. A seriously special bit of kit, but if you need the warmth it looks hard to beat
An 800 fill down jacket in a box-baffled construction for optimised insulation and weather resistance. This is a big duvet with big performance for use in extreme temperatures, or just when you are belaying in the cold! The sleeves and upper sections have highly water resistant fabric meaning you can wear it for longer in light rain and snow. It also packs into its own pocket for clipping to a harness or easy stowing in your rucksack.
A thermal glove featuring Aerogel which is a substance developed by NASA for use in space suits. Instead of trapping heat to insulate, it provides a complete heat barrier which we tested on the stand using dry ice at -78degrees - a remarkable and effective demonstration. Ideal for ice climbing in extreme temperatures.
The traditional Keb Jacket is a cult classic for Fjallraven. The updated Touring range includes new Jacket and Trousers, which integrate more stretch panelling for greater freedom of movement, and are a bit thicker for extra warmth and durability. Designed with skiing and ice climbing in mind due to its active fit. It is also PFC free, so like the rest of the brands range as a strong environment story.
Two pairs of climbing jeans designed with a 3D fit to allow for freedom of movement. The Hurrikan features a short belt using a buckle from their Dominator Bouldering pad.
