MSR® (Mountain Safety Research), the high-performance outdoor equipment brand, has introduced three new backcountry pole designs for Winter 2018. The Ascent, Explore, and Trail series are designed for snowshoeing, winter travel, and backcountry adventures, and all feature MSR's patented DynaLock™ secure adjustment for rock-solid performance and tool-free tensioning.

"MSR's new poles have been engineered to deliver highly-functional, lightweight, and reliable confidence." said Sarah Courtney, MSR's Snowshoe and Alpine Tool Division Category Manager. "We've developed these poles to serve all ability levels, from first-time explorers on established trails to mountaineers moving through remote and rugged terrain."

Each pole is specifically designed with the adventure-type in mind and features specific components to best serve the user's needs. Whether it's the lightest-weight pole for fast mountaineering in high-alpine conditions, or a simple and durable pole for someone using it at a park who is new to snowshoeing, the MSR backcountry pole line now has something for every activity and level of adventure. All three poles feature a comfortable EVA foam grip, snow and summer baskets with catch for raising MSR Televators, and adjustable strap. All three pole offerings will be available starting in September, 2018.
