The record for the youngest completion of a Munro round has been broken this weekend by a nine-year-old boy... with a bit of help from his Dad.
Daniel Smith from Glasgow, who climbed his first 3000-footer aged 6, finished his round of the 282 Munros on Saturday 23 February with ascents of Stuchd an Lochain and Meall Buidhe .
On Friday he told STV News that he enjoys it because:
'I get to spend time with my Dad, and sometimes get lovely views... and that's about all.'
The former youngest Munroist was Ben Fleetwood, who finished the lot back in 2011, aged 10 (see here on UKH).
