A body has been found in the Cuillin after a long search for a missing man.
An initial accident report came in from a member of the public who saw the man fall at around 14:30 on Thursday. Police, RAF, mountain rescue teams from Skye and Kintail and SARDA dogs were involved in the operation.
Yesterday the search was suspended due to poor weather conditions and very strong winds; it re-commenced at first light today.
Northern Constabulary have confirmed that about 1100hrs on Saturday 29th December a body was located and has been recovered by Mountain Rescue Teams.
Update: Police have now named him as 60-year-old Graham Paterson, a local guide who ran Skye Hi Mountain Guides based in Carbost, Skye. He is thought to have been leading a client when he fell.
