​Police have appealed for leads on the whereabouts of a young walker who's been missing since 28th April. It is believed that 27 year old Jerome Richmond, from Middlesbrough, was planning to walk from the Ben Wyvis area to Ullapool. He was last seen boarding an Edinburgh - Inverness bus.

He is described as white, 5ft 10 in tall, of slim build, with shoulder length, black hair and a black beard. He may have been carrying a tent wrapped in a red cover.

He was thought to have been wearing a black windproof jacket, black hillwalking trousers, a yellow T-shirt and brown boots. He may also have been carrying a black and grey rucksack.

Police have asked anyone with a lead - particularly hillwalkers - to get in touch
