Scotland's Mountains and ForestsVideos

Here are two short timelapse works by Cameron Shepherd, which between them show the highlands at their best.

The first, Scotland's Mountains, is shot in Torridon and Assynt. There's nothing remarkable going on here, but with classic peaks in stunning locations, nice subtle lighting and bubbling speeded-up clouds, what's not to like?

Scotland's Forests shifts the emphasis from landforms to ecology. We're doing less well at placing the native woodland locations that Cameron chose (Where's that waterfall? Someone's bound to know), but it's a lovely wee reminder that Scottish upland woods aren't all uniform spruce plantations. Whether or not it's deliberate, shooting on days of dappled sunlight and shade gives an interesting strobe effect in timelapse.
