We are very pleased to announce a new addition to the UKClimbing editorial team. Natalie Berry will be joining us from the beginning of October as Assistant Editor. Her main responsibilities will be handling the day-to-day news on UKC, as well as getting involved with articles and some gear review work.

Natalie describes herself as, ".. a 22 year old Scousewegian (born in Liverpool but brought up in Glasgow) and currently living in Edinburgh". With over 13 years of climbing experience, Natalie is a former member of the GB Climbing Team, having won multiple British titles and achieving podium places in European Youth events. She has also sport climbed up to 8b and trad climbed up to E4.

Her introduction to the UKC editorial set up will allow us to increase our coverage across the board - more news, more articles and more indepth features. Natalie has also expressed her desire to increase the content of women's climbing coverage on the site and will be writing some women-specific articles using her coaching experience.

Natalie joins an editorial team consisting of Jack Geldard as Chief Editor, Bjorn Pohl as International Editor and Dan Bailey as UKHillwalking editor. Being a small group though we all muck in where needed and Paul Phillips, Rob Greenwood and myself (Alan James) also contribute the occasonal editorial piece.

Natalie's arrival means we will be losing the services of Duncan Campbell. Duncan has spent the last 18 months as part-time assitant editor and has been an incredibly valuable worker during this time, and extremely good company.  I would like to thank Duncan for his efforts over the last year and a half and wish him success in his future plans.

Here are five of Duncan's most popular articles:
