Best Climbing Experience
Spending three weeks on Mount Kenya with Gemma self supported except for one food resupply must be my best experience. We were never quick enough to attempt the North Face Standard Route, which we want to do one day in the future in a single push. We did however explore many small peaks (Pt John, Pt Thompson, Pt Peter) and many valleys and ridges that most people never seem to bother with. Camping near the summit of Lenana was an excellent experience, as was crossing the glacier and climbing Pt Thompson the next morning on a boiled sweet each as we'd run out of food and were a few hours from our cache.
Before this my best experience must have been a week on Skye in perfect weather in April a few years ago. My climbing partner and I even did a first ascent now called "Dusa dragon" without realising it was a new line for a few years until I got an interesting e-mail.
