Best Climbing Experience

[BEST EXPERIENCES] Trad (Level 1): Nothing much compares to Seams the Same, my first E1. It wasn't even for the E-grade tick (I'm aware it’s probably low in the grade), just really, really nice, in-balance, moves (trickyish but within my ability) and with a bit of a absence-of-gear-related frisson in the top third. Just a lovely experience. Trad (Level 2): Topping out on the final pitch of Christmas Curry (S), Craig Bwlch y Moch, Tremadog - my first Severe onsight on about my fourth trad lead. First HVS, Solstice, Bus Stop Quarry, Llanberis Slate. Second, trad lead - Tennis Shoe, The Other Direct Route (HS) Idwal Slabs, Ogwen after having seconded a few days earlier. Slab Climb on the Gribbin Facet in the wind and rain, just a lovely climb. Crackstone Rib (S) Carreg Wastad - probably just the nicest climb I have done so far. Bouldering: Finallly getting Green Wall Essential at The Buttermilks (Oct 2007). Generally discovering Bishop's incredibly varied climbing :-). Scrambling: Tryfan (915m) by the north ridge in 85 degree temperatures (never knew it got that hot in N Wales) and Crib Goch / Crib y Ddysgl / Garnedd Ugain (1062m) in the rain (I probably knew already that it got that wet in N Wales). [WORST EXPERIENCES] Falling down Beinn na Caillich in the Red Cullin, Skye in the middle of a rainstorm. If you are going to fall I don't recommend 60 degree granite boulder fields! Somehow managing to slip off the final jugs of Slight Inducement at The Happys. If you are going to fall off the top of a problem, I don't recommend missing the mat!
