Hill features

The highest volcano on earth is also the highest point in Chile and second in South America after Aconcagua. Ojos del Salado is considered an easy walk-up, but the last part can be a bit tricky. Very loose, rotten rock and grade UIAA II on 6900m can cause problems if tired from the long walk to the summit block. In addition to this, you usually have to deal with the strong winds which plagues the area. It is a double summit and the Chileans claim the west peak to be the highest (0.5-1m higher).
