Prominent summit above the Aosta valley, one that provides an excellent ski touring/ski mountaineering outing. If approached from La Thuile, the approach is straightforward, though beware avalance risk in the valley and slopes up to the summit. If approached from Courchevel, the lifts may help you, but the approach is technical with long ridges and steep sections that can be icy and/or rocky.
