Customer Service & Business Administrator

Permanent: Part Time; 2 positions
Salary: £8.72 per hour for 21 hours per week

Ultralight Outdoor Gear Ltd is an on-line retailer of specialist outdoor clothing and equipment that's growing fast, we're expanding our on-line presence and moving into larger premises at the end of this year. We currently have a permanent vacancy for a Customer Service and Business Administrator based at our Darlington office.

This is a dual role equally split between customer service and business administration. The customer service element requires the Post Holder to be the first point of contact for customers via the telephone or email. Being the first to respond to email directed into the business from various sources it will be up to the Post Holder to deal with queries, giving advice, giving information and making judgements about lost parcels, suitability of gear and a range of other general queries.

This activity will inevitably result in the post holder being required to represent the company on the telephone, in correspondence and in person and a key part of the role is to ensure this interaction is positive and beneficial to the company.

The Business Administraion part of the role involves keeping spreadsheet based records up to date, processing invoices and reconciling bank account information. The Post Holder is also required to manage the business PayPal account which involves handling exceptions - such as chargebacks, refunds, bank queries etc. It also includes managing location services such as consumables, H&S etc as detailed below.

The post will be covered by two people working part time. The total hours worked will be 7.5hrs on a weekday and 4.5hrs on Saturday mornings and the working pattern will be split between the two people as follows:

1 Thu, Fri, Sat morning

2 Mon, Tues, Wed the changeover day being Thursday
