VF Northern Europe is already one of the world’s largest apparel companies, with a portfolio of brands including The North Face, Timberland, Wrangler, Lee, VANS, Eastpak, JanSport and Kipling. We are now looking for a self-driven individual with a wholesale selling/retail background, to develop the success of The North Face’s products.

In this exciting and challenging opportunity to join The North Face’s national sales team, you’ll commercially expand the brand across the north of England and Scotland. Working in line with the company’s strategy, you will achieve specific sales targets across the region, provide feedback to the management team on results and suggest and action new ideas to develop company objectives.

Providing the highest level of account management and customer care, you’ll:

• Manage the Independent Sales Channel to drive profitable sales, distribution spread and increase The North Face presence within the brand strategy
• Constantly support and develop sales opportunities to drive the brands full potential including ordering stock (including re-orders), assisting accounts and pursuing forward orders for the forthcoming season
• Carry out regular store visits and train staff to ensure the consistent and high brand visibility in store
• Provide regular feedback to your Manager, covering the marketplace, competitor activity and product development
• Supply weekly reports detailing your contact schedule, sales report, route plans and other ad hoc information.

With previous field sales experience, you’ll be a confident communicator/presenter and have the ability to understand the market and the customer, build strong relationships both internally and externally, explore partnership opportunities, evaluate multiple solutions and formulate action plans. Strong computer skills, particularly in Excel and Lotus Notes are essential as is a current driving licence and the ability to demonstrate an affinity with our products and the hobbies/activities they’re used for. Instinctively target driven, you’ll need good organisational skills and be able to liaise and converse confidently at all levels. The nature of this position will necessitate time away from home in order to fully embrace the role.
