University College School (UCS) has a fantastic opportunity to work with our pupils (aged 15-18 coeducational) running the expeditioning aspects of the Duke of Edinburgh's Award, both Silver and Gold as well as preparing and undertaking expeditions for the School's Climbing & Mountaineering Club.
The successful applicant will be responsible for coordinating, planning and leading Expeditions, both for the Duke of Edinburgh Award and for the UCS Climbing & Mountaineering Club, these expeditions will mainly take place during the School holidays: Autumn half-term, Easter and Summer; it expected that the position will involve around 40 days a year.
Applications are sought from candidates with at least one of the following qualifications:
- Mountain Instructor Award
- Mountain Leader Summer (& preferably Winter)
- SPA

Salary is dependent on background and skills. From September 2012, 1 year Fixed-Term Contract initially, although there is the likelihood that the position may become permanent.
