Premier Post: Leaders wanted for paid overseas expedition work Camps International is looking for leaders for the summer (July 2012) season.

The job:
Leading groups of up to 30 16-18 year olds on expeditions.

Location:
Borneo, Tanzania, Kenya.

What's involved:
Day to day leading of the teams through each phase of their expedition. The trip is based around completing project work in the villages. Depending on where you're posted to, it could be the jungles of Borneo/ an island in the Pacific Ocean/ East Coast beaches of Kenya/ Safari in Tsavo/ foothills of Kilimanjaro etc. You'll have teachers assisting..

Qualifications:
The challenge part of the expedition is either a mountain climb, or PADI scuba diving. You must have ML as a minimum to lead the mountain treks. The peaks are Mount Meru and Mount Kenya.
Also need current first aid, and Camps will run the CRB check etc.
No PADI qualifications necessary as we use a PADI dive centre, but diving experience is preferable.

Pay:
£700 upwards for scuba leaders depending on experience
£1300-£1400 for mountain leaders depending on experience

Obviously all of your costs/ expenses are also covered.
