At Nottingham Trent University (NTU) our Sports Development team provides a range of support services to a variety of student sports clubs. Through a wide array of outdoor activities, this role will seek to increase participation in sport amongst NTU students, whilst also improving NTU's success in competition and developing community engagement.
The role will build upon success achieved over the past two years that has seen a significant rise in the range of opportunities, in student participation and resources focussed on outdoor activities at the university.
The successful candidate will need to have the vision to develop the activities beyond their current scope and enjoy working closely with the students to achieve this aim.
An understanding of good practice in outdoor activities is essential; with particular focus on canoeing, climbing and hill walking. With excellent interpersonal skills, you will be customer focused and have the ability to organise your time effectively. In addition, you will need a flexible approach, as the role may require you to work evenings and weekends where necessary.
