Plas y Brenin Welsh winter

Here in Snowdonia we are in the grips of winter climbing mania. Conditions for mixed climbing have been perfect for many days now, with new routes falling thicker and faster than the blanket of snow on the mountains.

At the time of writing, the lake at PyB is frozen hard and thoughts are turning to climbing ice - which is forming in abundance. With temperatures as cold as minus 10 at sea level, obscur (and easily accessible) ice routes are forming up throughout the area. This really is a 'once in a lifetime' opportunity to climb the ice routes you have only ever heard about!

Whether you're a seasoned aficionado who doesn't want to miss out on one of the 'big ticks' or just a summer climber who'd really like to know what it feels like to thwack an axe into the ice, we can make it all possible for you.

But you have to act now. Right Now. Because these amazing conditions aren't going to last forever.

With one instructor to two clients, you'll enjoy this exciting day out more than you ever thought possible. Just get yourself to Plas y Brenin and let us take care of the rest - the equipment, the venue, the transport, and getting the rope up the route of your dreams!

All you need to bring are plenty of warm clothes, and a healthy sense of adventure!

Cost: £90 for 1 days ice climbing instruction and technical equipment hire.
