Marmot Grid: Semi Geodesic 2 Person Tent

Marmot's best selling back packing tent was created specifically to meet the wet and windy conditions found here in the UK and Europe. The tent features an extremely simple and quick pitching method which allows the tent to be erected without exposing the inner tent to pouring rain.

Stability comes from the rigid pole structure and taught flysheet which help give perfectly balanced tension over the whole tent surface area. The tension also helps increase stability and decreases spare fabric flap which can happen in other tents with looser flysheets. The flysheet also sits lower to the floor to limit wind driven rain from rebounding off the floor onto the inner tent whilst the high bath tub ground stops dirt getting in and hard rainfall bouncing underneath the flysheet and onto the inner tent.

Vents located at the foot and porch areas can be opened and closed from inside the tent eliminating the need to get wet in order to increase ventilation.

The single entrance features an over-lapping convex porch at the front of the tent which can be opened in a variety of different ways to allow for the prevailing wind or driving rain direction. Finally the inner tent includes both a separate midge net and no-see door which can be individually opened and closed as required.
