I challenge anyone who cares to join in, to participate in a political hot topic post where the following doesn't happen:

OP posts opinion or question on political issue.

The first dozen or so contributors attempt to politely and objectively debate the matter.

A few less objective and more partisan views start to creep in.

The odd extreme opinion darts in to take our breath away momentarily.

The moderates start to question what they deem to be unpopular views and demand evidence to back up such outlandish statements.

The extremists start to think they are being called 'stupid' even though they are just being asked to justify their views.

Insults start being hurled, then withdrawn, then re-hurled!

Various factions start to form where one group defends their team against another.

All hell breaks loose and the OP's subject is forgotten about as the contributors start veering from one unassociated topic to another until.

Everyone moves to a different post out of utter frustration and boredom.

The end.

----------------------
If you want to be the one to start the challenge add (PDC) to the end of your Post Title. but its got to be a proper hot topic.

Have a look at my thread about Theresa May and immigration.

Pretty much turned into one of informed discussion and shared concerns. And your point is, caller?

It's just your sort of addle brained left-wing, hypocritical, touchy-feely, socialist nonsense, which makes my blood boil, thank Christ for the Daily Mail I say!
