In reply to gwared: I got caught out without my usual tent and bought one in February this year and used it on cape wrath trail for three nights. There was wind snow and rain and I camped wild quite comfortably. It's pretty cosy but not claustrophobic and I cooked in the alcove and stayed dry all night. Side winds would cause a bit of flapping I guess but it's got a few guy lines and the pegs are good. It's got a low profile too.
I usually use Hillebergs and was surprised by the quality for the price. I'm not sure I'd risk it on the cairngorm plateau at the moment but Lower down it was fine. 1.5kg? from memory, which is alright or a one man.
Incidentally it is surplus to requirements in my loft and yours for £95 inc post email me at norrisdan71@gmail if you are interested.
