Mountain Rescue Survey

Hi all,

I am a medical student based at the University of Aberdeen conducting a project on perceptions of mountain rescue.

I would be grateful if anyone could answer a 12 question survey I have compiled. The link is below.

might be worth tweeking as some MRTs are also cave rescue teams.

I would hope so, he is a medical student. No offence whatsoever to the outdoor students, just factual, the academic entry requirements for the course are much higher.

looked like one of the better surveys but had to stop at (I think) Q4 as I'm not based in the UK - maybe you could add "in the UK" to the title or original post ?

Difficult to answer questions on response times for Scotland as it's not an area I know.

Difficult to be totally objectives Mike. We know that the UK is pretty much covered

Done. As an aside, I spent almost twenty years in Scottish MRT and have also been on the "receiving end." Be prepared for what feels like a very long wait. It's a good idea to have the knowledge and kit (group shelter/shovel/local knowledge) to be able to improvise shelter at all times of the year

Thanks to all who responded and also to those who emailed their comments.

I'll hopefully be able to get the survey and/or paper made available in one form or another once the project is completed.
